Which company has the better concealers..Almay or Revlon?

So I have been looking for a good concealer that works for both acne/blemishes AND dark circles.


The two companies I can buy from are either Almay or Revlon (all other drugstore companies test on animals).


Any concealer ideas from either company? Can you name a specific product?

not true! physician's formula,Rimmel London, JANE, NYX, and NYC are other drugstore brands that are cruelty free (i would know because i only buy cruelty free cosmetics).





physician's formula has great concealers! there powder finish stick concealers work really well (i have the green one and it covers redness very nicely).





the almay concealer with the blue cap is alright, but i personally think physician's formula beats them as far as concealers go.





its a real pain trying to sort through products to find the cruelty free ones, but i feel its worthwhile. :) (PETA has a great list of cruelty free companies...very thorough. they might be a load of wack jobs but at least the list is correct).Which company has the better concealers..Almay or Revlon?
check the PETA website...they have Rimmel on the cruelty free list....and Peta gets a signed form from each company on tht list...so, the chances tht they are lying = 1%. lol :) Report Abuse

Avon, Maybelline, Cover Girl and Revlon all contain animal by prodcts. Almay, and Physician's Formula does not currently perform animal testing, but Avon, Revlon, Cover Girl and Maybelline do. Many of these companies use animal fats as binders in their products. It makes you skin softer and smoother and makes the product last longer after you put it on. But this is at the expense of animals. I would stick with Almay, Physician's Formula that are free of animal products, or something like NYX or E.L.F. products that are cruelty free.Do any of these companies contain animal ingredients? I'm not sure about the actual ingridients, but since you're on the topic of animals, none of the companies on here test except Covergirl. (Maybelline is owned by loreal but they don't test themselves)

Revlon does seem to be making a conscientious effort to reduce their impact on the environment and are considered fairly eco-friendly. They do not test on animals at all and were one of the first big companies to do stop. They have also been leaders in creating ways to test new products without animals. Benetton, Avon and Estee Lauder also have not tested on animals in over a decade.





For general goodness, I've always been satisfied with their products and find them to be a good value for the money.Are revlon's products any good?are they eco-friendly?does the company test on animals on a large scale?

I love revlon's eyeliner...it's chaep and good.
I like their eyeshadow (coffee bean shade) and their colour stay lipstick is pretty good.

i've found if they don't brag about product not being tested on animals then it probably has been. does it make a diff if it is large scale? there are a lot of chemicals in all beauty products-really informative book called 'cleaning yourself to death'. alarming!!

havent tried the revlon, but i've heard that their colorstay is good. but i have used Almays smart shade makeup and it's pretty good. But it really dries out the skin around your eyes and for me it scratches and is rough on the skin. but mix it with some foundation, and its pretty good.Which company has the better concealers..Almay or Revlon?
revlon. I use their colorstay foundation and it has the best coverage ever. I dont even need a concealor. But since u need that, I am pretty sure it works gr8 also.
out of almay and revlon i would pick revlon but my favorite that i've tried so far would have to be the loreal true match concealer (i hate the foundation though).

hmmm...i go to paul mitchell the school and alot of my instructors started out as a students. they learned the PM teqniques and really just worked theyre way to the top..you really meet great people to network with by just being a student. How can I get Electric Signage for Cosmetic Companies such as Revlon, Maybelline, and Loreal?

I'm a business owner and have a cosmetics department in all of my stores. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get electric signs for major cosmetic companies so that i can display them in my stores. I'm hoping to get them for free or as cheap as possible, but am open to paying a bit more just so that my department looks nicer.How can I get Electric Signage for Cosmetic Companies such as Revlon, Maybelline, and Loreal?
You have to contact that companies showroom or marketing department. If you are licensed with them or have an account with them they should have those items available for you. They usually have an abundance of promotional stuff that will help as well. If they don't offer anything like that I would think about having them made myself. Although, be careful, some lighting can get costly anywhere from $500 +

Revlon has more variety of coverage types, while L'Oreal has a wider range of shades.


If you want a clean, non-oily finish or have sensitive skin, go with Revlon.


If you want a matte or healthy (and sometimes shiny) finish, go with L'Oreal.





Both are trusted brands and they each have their pro's and con's, so you can choose based on your skin type and requirements!

Honestly both have...but they are expensive. Try Ellana mineral concealer. I am a make up artist, i can help you which shade is right for you. Coz they have 12 shades of foundation that could match all skin color. Try it to believe it...

They may be pretty well along the same ingredients. Try the L'Oreal first, I'd say. Although Revlon's been around a long time too.
