Which Revlon hair dye will actually make my hair look red?
Right now, I have blonde hair. I want to dye it red, and I can't use anything but Revlon because they are the only ones that don't test on animals. They also are the only ones that don't have much of a selection. I know most, if not all, henna hair dyes don't test on animals, and neither does Manic Panic, but I don't want to use those. I have been looking at Revlon's Colorist and Colorsilk red dyes, and most of them just look brown to me. I want a ruby red that isn't real dark with no orange tones. The first step is to remove the dead skin on your nails otherwise known as your cuticles. This is not the living skin that is above your nail at the as many people mistakenly believe. It is the dead skin which forms on the base of your nails as your nails grow out from the nail matrix. Use a cuticle pusher and some cuticle remover to gently yet thoroughly remove the excess dead skin from your nails. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after this step. Then wipe your nails clean to remove oils and other contaminants. You can use acetone, nail polish remover, or even 99% isopropyl alcohol for this purpose. Simply moisten a cotton ball, and wipe your nails thoroughly. Be sure to avoid touching your nails with your fingers after you have cleaned them to avoid transferring oils back onto your nails. Apply a high quality base coat followed by two thing coats of polish, and finish with a layer of high quality top coat. Clear polish is not the same thing as top coat. Always use high quality base coat and top coat since the cheaper ones that are available will not work as well. I might have swallowed Revlon nail glue..?
I had a bit of nail glue on my finger when i itched my mouth and got some glue stuck to my lips, after the glue dried i licked my lips forgetting completely i had glue on there in the first place (i had already tried washing the glue off). is there anyway i could have swallowed the glue? my mouth and throat feel slightly dry and tight. should i seek medical attention or is it just anxiety?I might have swallowed Revlon nail glue..?

And maybe the glue tried your throat up a little but it should go away soon. Your salivaand stomach acid will dissolve it. Id say your not in serious trouble unless you swallow a decent amount. Yeah, Revlon nail enamel is good. Great value for money!
It doesn't chip easily at all; the coverage is good and thick (the varnish isn't thin or 'watered-down' like lots of cheap nail varnishes are) and it lasts for at least 7-8 days without starting to wear away to getting chipped and scruffy-looking. It dries reasonably quickly, but not as quick as Chanel, Loreal or Essie nail polish does.
A good tip for making your nails dry more quickly is to run them under a cold tap (be brave- the nail polish WON'T run!).
I can't compare Revlon and Nails Inc because I've never used Nails Inc nail polish.
But I think Revlon nail enamel is a great choice- give it a try.
Oh, and by the way, Superdrug are offering 拢2 off Revlon nail enamel. Go in-store and pick up a Superdrug Christmas gift guide, and look on the back cover- there's a 拢2 off voucher. So there's another excuse to give Revlon a try!

It is totally the winter just by looking at this increadibly rich colour, it is unbeatable.
The thing with ESSIE is that you have to apply three coats, so it looks really visible, other than this everything else is perfect.

The first coat looks like fresh blood being applied to your nails and the second coat looks like blood that is stored in a bag... Sorry to be gross but it is such a deep dark red that is what it looks like. IMO- you will need very short nails to pull this color off without looking tacky.

Sounds awful! Try nail polish remover, making sure to wash your hands afterward. Otherwise, I don't have any ideas, it will wear off with time. I get haircolor on my hands all the time and it doesn't come off with any amount of ANYTHING. Good luck...

Earlier ive tried Lakme EnricheLipColor,but it turned my lips darker and had a mild rash,for which, i have to stop using the Lakme brand. Ever since then, im a bit much concerned and stopped buying any lipsticks until i get my lips back in to my original color.
So,no ive been trying to get a lipstick and wondering whether Revlon Colorstay soft and smooth lip color would suit my lips(like not causing any allergies etc).

I just bought it for the first time a few weeks ago. It's the first long-wearing one I've tried. I haven't had any problems. The colour I bought is a mauve colour, not that dark, so I can't really say for sure if a darker colour would stain your lips.
I really like it. It smells good, and the topcoat has a mildly sweet flavour and a nice smell. I bought a lip liner to match, which comes in handy to correct it when I mess up a little on the outer edge of my lips with the lipstick.
The main negative is that as it wears off during the day and I reapply the topcoat, it sometimes feels a little gritty. I think it is from bits of the base coat coming off, but it is not a big deal to me.
I do not have many allergies, so I am not the canary in the coalmine for this. :)Revlon Colorstay soft and smooth lip color??is it ok to buy one?
For sensitive lips I'd suggest Estee Lauder lipsticks.

Blood orange
I'm was pretty sure I had ruled out plum tart and blood orange, because I wanted the most natural looking one, plum, which is purple, isn't natural at all, and orange, well that's just obnoxious with my skin.
I was thinking of getting the berry juicy one, because I heard that the cherry tart was very bright red.
so now after many mixed reviews, I'm not sure. I heard the orange in the blood orange was mute, and it was more redish. and that the cherry tart looked better after it dried and wasn't so 'loud' and a lot of people said the plum wicked was pretty.
I'm confused, I wish I could see what they looked like on someones lips as an example! all the reviews are giving me mixed messages. or i can't see the pictures/video because the lighting is bad.
if i can't pick, i'll just go with berry juicy and hope it will be the color for me. can't afford them all at the moment.

I bought it. It is a very intese bright red. If you can pull that color off then cool. And it has staying power. I had a helluva time getting it off! I think of the barbie lips..really bright and noticeable....might be a good base for something darker? I didn't care for it really...and esp not for that price...

I would like to know if Revlon's Renewist lip color radiant ruby is a blue based red? And how can I tell?
If it has the name ruby in it, it's a blue based red. Hold up to the red next to a hot pink and an orange and see what it is closest to. Orange = warm.

I need to get some lip stain for our valentines day dance. I'm wearing a white scoop neck, a cranberry party skirt I dyed, gold flats, soft curly hair, and a large gold heart pendant. I sort of want the stain to match my skirt (You know, juxtaposing the gold and cranberry?) But I'm VERY fair skinned. What's a good color? What's your take on this product? I have, and no, it's not worth it. It's extremely tiny, and basically its just glitter. I bought the white one. I put it on my lips and within 20 minutes, it became extremely unnoticeable.
It made me feel like I had rubbed some glitter on my lips, I tried smacking my lips together to get rid of the glitter feeling, and it made the ';effect'; disappear .
I paid like 6 bucks for it, totally not worth it.

After eating you will still have plenty of color on your lips, but it will be faded so you will probably want to reapply. This product is not moisturizing, but you can't put a balm over the product because it will come right off. I like the sheer colors better than the regular ones. u just pull the cap off. the applicator is the roller. u shake it a little n the lip stain will come out. if it doesnt, then exchange it for a new one, its probably clogged or the hole in the hole isnt large enough.

It does stay put but it can be very drying on the lips, it chips off after a while which isn't terribly flattering, I use the colorstay lipgloss over a normal lip colour.

Much of the reason that polish doesn't last long is due to the oils our bodies produce naturally. Some people have a higher amount of these oils than others, and there is nothing wrong with that. But, it can cause nail polish to not adhere very well, and prematurely chip off. One of the most common, and most effective ways to help slow this process down is to always make sure your nails are squeaky clean prior to applying polish. The first step is to remove the dead skin on your nails otherwise known as your cuticles. This is not the living skin that is above your nail at the as many people mistakenly believe. It is the dead skin which forms on the base of your nails as your nails grow out from the nail matrix. Use a cuticle pusher and some cuticle remover to gently yet thoroughly remove the excess dead skin from your nails. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after this step. Then wipe your nails clean to remove oils and other contaminants. You can use acetone, nail polish remover, or even 99% isopropyl alcohol for this purpose. Simply moisten a cotton ball, and wipe your nails thoroughly. Be sure to avoid touching your nails with your fingers after you have cleaned them to avoid transferring oils back onto your nails. Apply a high quality base coat followed by two thing coats of polish, and finish with a layer of high quality top coat. Clear polish is not the same thing as top coat. Always use high quality base coat and top coat since the cheaper ones that are available will not work as well. You don't have to spend a lot of money on them, but at the same time - don't skimp either. Sorry I keep reposting and deleting this so many times -- my question keeps getting cut off in the middle and I'm trying to get it to post the whole thing.
I have a lipstick shade from them, Copper Chrome, and I'm not sure if it's been discontinued or not. One person wrote a review saying that it was discontinued on a random site but that's not exactly a reliable source. Plus, I did just buy it the other day, so I haven't had it for a very long time. The color also still appears on the website. So I want to know -- does Revlon update its site often so that shades that are discontinued are deleted, or could it very easily still have colors listed that you can no longer purchase? I'd really appreciate an answer from someone with experience with the site or the company. :)Does Revlon's website stay up to date on discontinued items?

Not necessarily... the quality is definitely wonderful and if you have the money to spend then go for it BUT I have found that the only thing you need to invest in is a great eyeshadow primer. Many companies make them now but I would highly recommend either Urban Decays Primer Potion or TooFaced Eyeshadow Insurance ... with a good primer, my eyeshadows stay on all day long -wether they are my MAC colors or even nonbrand shadows I have from a makeup collection I got for Christmas. Any MAC shadows I have were gifts from friends. The only thing Id recommend dishing out the money for is a good moisturizer or foundation rather than the eyeshadows, lipsticks or glosses....Do Mac eyeshadows stay on longer than the brands at drug stoes? Revlon Caramel color stay liquid foundation with what revlon pressed powder?
Ok So I am BLACK Indian and peurto rican, I find that on my face is very un even toned before makeup sometimes, I use Revlon colorstay liquid foundation in caramel and i top that with revlon colorstay pressed powder in medium deep but it almost looks too light not sure but does anyone know which pressed powder is supposed to go with Revlon liquid caramel foundation? Also if anyone has a sugestion for eye eye shadow and blush for african american skin that would be great as well.

so, i recommend you get it, you can get it in boots or superdrug. its awesome!

Much of the reason that polish doesn't last long is due to the oils our bodies produce naturally. Some people have a higher amount of these oils than others, and there is nothing wrong with that. But, it can cause nail polish to not adhere very well, and prematurely chip off. One of the most common, and most effective ways to help slow this process down is to always make sure your nails are squeaky clean prior to applying polish. The first step is to remove the dead skin on your nails otherwise known as your cuticles. This is not the living skin that is above your nail at the as many people mistakenly believe. It is the dead skin which forms on the base of your nails as your nails grow out from the nail matrix. Use a cuticle pusher and some cuticle remover to gently yet thoroughly remove the excess dead skin from your nails. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after this step. Then wipe your nails clean to remove oils and other contaminants. You can use acetone, nail polish remover, or even 99% isopropyl alcohol for this purpose. Simply moisten a cotton ball, and wipe your nails thoroughly. Be sure to avoid touching your nails with your fingers after you have cleaned them to avoid transferring oils back onto your nails. Apply a high quality base coat followed by two thing coats of polish, and finish with a layer of high quality top coat. Clear polish is not the same thing as top coat. Always use high quality base coat and top coat since the cheaper ones that are available will not work as well. You don't have to spend a lot of money on them, but at the same time - don't skimp either. About the polish, most - but not all brands will last a long time provided your nails have been properly, and thoroughly prepped prior to applying the polish. Do Mac eyeshadows stay on longer than the brands at drug stoes? (covergirl, revlon) Worth the extrea $$$?
Not necessarily... the quality is definitely wonderful and if you have the money to spend then go for it BUT I have found that the only thing you need to invest in is a great eyeshadow primer. Many companies make them now but I would highly recommend either Urban Decays Primer Potion or TooFaced Eyeshadow Insurance ... with a good primer, my eyeshadows stay on all day long -wether they are my MAC colors or even nonbrand shadows I have from a makeup collection I got for Christmas. Any MAC shadows I have were gifts from friends. The only thing Id recommend dishing out the money for is a good moisturizer or foundation rather than the eyeshadows, lipsticks or glosses....Do Mac eyeshadows stay on longer than the brands at drug stoes? Revlon Color stay foundation as concealer?
Okay so im thinking about getting the Revlon Color stay since i've heard many great things about it.
And i was wondering, since it is supposedly very thick, can i use it as a concealer also? You know for my under eye circles or blemishes???

i only know that they sell sculpting blush, sheer gel blush, powder and cream blushes...why don't you try drugstores like Walgreens or CVS...i know for a fact they all sell Revlon make up...I am sure they have what u are looking for.

Hmm, Revlon ColorStay has very harsh colors. Eyeliner will fade if you do not use a primer underneath, because even eyelids get oily.
I'd say use a soft, pencil black or brown, nothing harsh.
Try Revlon Luxurious Color Kohl, it is softer, it won't overpower your eyes. Liquid liner will be very overpowering.

Hmm... I am wearing Revlon colorstay eyeliner and foundation right now. I have to say anything from the Colorstay line is BRILLIANT. The eyeliner stays on and the foundation is very durable. I highly recomend using a brown, because black liner may make your eyes apear to harsh. Good luck!

You're only treating the symptom and not the cause. Have you thought to try other products like Rogaine or something, assuming you're losing hair due to genetics and old age.

i love it. i use it mixed with basic moisturizer....it gives me a lighter coverage (i have pretty good skin) version tht feels good on my face.
everybody raves about it, its a really great foundation.
i tested it just below my cheek. i know, it seems awkward to put makeup on your face in the middle of a store, but it will save you returning the wrong color foundation. test the 3 colors you think will most likely match your skin. apply a small, light stripe of each color next to each other on your face. remember what name goes with what color, otherwise you wont know which one to buy! out of the 3, one color will probably be a shade to dark, one will probably be a shade too light, and the other will be your perfect color (the color that you cant see because it blends right into your skin). if they dont have a perfect match, go with the best one.
